Tears and Heartbreak beats by utopia cloak

A double EP extravaganza that has finally found its way onto vinyl, in one neat and perfectly formed package. Courtesy of mindcolormusic

The two EPs were made at around the same time but channel different energies. Tears can be considered moody and introspective, it was written during a time of intense personal tragedy and sounds like it.
At the time I couldn't keep up with what was happening in the present so I went back to old post punk and new wave records, finding comfort and inspiration in their humanity. My intention for the Tears EP was to take the uncertain and anxious energy I felt in those records and make something that I felt would continue that tradition and make something that had genuine emotion.

Heartbreak beats (previously released as 'Raw breakbeat tracks 2019 -2020') was pure catharsis. All of the tracks were written at lightning pace with the speakers turned up way too loud (sorry neighbours!)
Although the emotions of the time bleed in to the works these tracks are exercises in pure focussed energy. Hopefully this translates to the listener.
I have removed two tracks which I thought slowed the EP down so it's even more streamlined and dynamic.

I hope you enjoy. This is a personal record and it means a lot when people take the time to get to know these songs.
